Basics4Basics

WHY WE GIVE

We're all human. And we all have basic needs.
Where you're born and your circumstance in life are often major determinants in whether you have access to basic life essentials. We're talking things like food, shelter, clean water, sanitation, education, religious or sexual freedom and the right to decide what kind of life you want. You know, just the important stuff!

Whether you live in a city bursting at the seams, or in the heart of the Amazon, we're big believers that we should all have the same opportunities in life. After all, our similarities totally outweigh the differences.

At THE M|N|ML, we love creating fashion that not only feels good to wear, but does good too by paying it forward and contributing to the betterment of the world in a real way.

Things that some of us are lucky to have by birth, like equality, education and empowerment, should be available to everyone.

We know that all it takes is a large group of people changing their behaviour slightly to affect lasting positive change, so a portion of every item purchased will be donated to various community and charity organisations in their fight for social change. Basic clothes, for basic needs.

How it will work

We're passionate about being a transparent company, and want to do good at every turn.
Because we know being good can all seem a little overwhelming at times, we've made things easy for you. The amount we donate from each piece – and who we're partnered with – will always be clearly indicated on the product page for each item. If something doesn't make sense, just shout out. We're always here to help.
Or, if you have any comments or suggestions on how we could do good things, even better, then don't hesitate to say hi; we love solving problems, together.

Our Partners

Who we donate to and partner with will never be a secret.
Whether it's a big, international not-for-profit, NGO or charity, or an organisation kicking goals at a grassroots level here in Australia, we'll choose partners based on their work, how they get it done and whether their ethos is compatible with ours.

Although it's still a work in progress, when Basics4Basics is fully launched, the amount we donate from each piece – and who we're partnered with – will always be clearly indicated across the website, and, on the product page for each item.

Starting close to home, approached two organisations doing great work in the area of educational empowerment in Indigenous communities, Yalari and AIME and we hope to work with them soon.

We can't wait to see where we go, and the things we can achieve by working together!
